lifter help
i am most likely buying an 86' trans am with a 305 TPI but it sounds like it has a pretty loud ticking noise that i am guessing to be lifters. i was woundering how hard it would be to do by myself, how much it would cost me, and if there were any special tools needed for the job. the car i am getting for real cheap and need's ALOT of work. i was just woundering if it was worth it or not? what do you people think? thank's

Its not very hard to change lifters, it just time consuming, but before i started changing lifters, i would pull the valve covers and adjust the valves, thats prob what the noise is.
