Vacuum line help
I'm going to be pulling my plenum and runners to install some new injectors and I want to replace the old worn vacuum tubing while I'm under there. I had some problems with my hvac controls due to some of the soft rubber tubing connecting to the plenum and T fittings falling apart.
I need to know if there is a specific type of tubing to look for. I know you can get regular tubing no problem, but I need to know what to ask for specifically. I also need to know what sizes I will need.
These are some pretty lame questions, but I need the info bad. The TA has been sitting for weeks and I need to get a major tune done in order to figure out the big problems I'm having.
To be more specific in response to the first couple of replies:
I know where to go to get the lines, what I'm trying to find out is what exactly is the kind of tubing used for these lines. I have the hard plastic lines and T fittings, but I want to make sure that I get the correct type of flexible hose to replace what's there. I'm pretty sure that there are different grades used for different applications, like water lines/vaccum lines are made of different material. I don't want to do this with the wrong kind and have to replace them again after they fall apart.
As far as size, different fittings will have different internal diameters. I know if I go to a parts store I'll end up with the wrong thing unless I go in looking for something specific. I was hoping someone could help me narrow down the sizes we have on these things.

Best bet i'de say is go to a dealership. They have pictures on thier computers that will show you exactly what you need. All you have to do is pick it out, plus the lines will be pre molded to fit like they should. That's what i did when i needed new vac lines.

Auto Zone, Advance, all those places have that hard plastic vacuum line and the rubber fittings, on cards out on their aisles.... just look at al of yours, draw pics and take measurements or whatever, you can duplicate your factory stuff with very little effort

my advice for hose size:
you can:
1 pull the hose off a fitting or T, cut a small section off the end, put it back on, and use that piece to measure up a size
2 find another piece of hose around the same Id that the car doesnt need to drive to the store with... like the windshield washer one.
for T fittings and the like, they're usually hanging on a rack in the back... package has a black top "tab" with a purple background. i forget the name.
measure the lines on the car for a rough guesstimate of the overall length.. then add some for good measure.
get the proper line size and length cut from their spool in the back.
if you do the lines one at a time, you can make them look like stock. just take one line off, noting how its routed.. if the route is confusing, run a wire as a place holder as you take it off... cut a line the same length, then re route it as orignal...
