what did you guys do about holes in the firewall after taking out your A/C???

I recently took out all of the A/C crap on the firewall, and was wondering what you guys have done to cover up the 2 holes that are left over on the firewall. I knwo that GM makes the panel that covers it, but it's expensive. I have a friend that can get parts at cost and it is STILL $102.

I know that there really isn't any other thing to do other than that (and still have it look good) but was wondering if anyone did anything different.

Any ideas?

You can also cover the holes with a piece of sheet metal, thats what I did but I don't have a blower motor either. My car isn't a daily driver and I don't drive it in the winter so I don't need heat so it wasn't an issue for me. I put a moroso cool can and a fuel pressure regulator where the AC used to be. The other option you have is going to a junk yard and finding a car that didn't have AC and take the parts from it, that might be a little cheaper if you can find one. good luck

i went the sheet metal route too, but it's not a driver either. you can buy a non-ac blower box for your car that will cover it.
