86 iroc giving me problems
well lets see here specs 350/t5
elderbrock 750 and intake sigle plane
2.02/1.60 vavles head cast number not sure but it had alot of 3's and 8's in it
mild cam can't think of the model # right now but can dig throught papers if need be
about 3k miles on the rebuilt
now here's my problem it starts hard when cold runs like poop till warms up, rpms bounce around, it is missfires while driving, vacume bounces between 16 and 18,when doing 30mph i have to keep it in 3rd gear,45mph is in fourthwhen i first bought it last year i know the motor had more in her than now had 500 miles on the motor. any insight would be great as i'm about to take this thing to a garage
sorry about the grammer and spelling as english was not my beat subject in school
thanks matt

Sounds kinda like the choke isn't working, but needs to be. That's its purpose, is to richen the mixture when the engine is cold, so that it doesn't do stuff like that.
However, a single-plane intake is going to magnify the problem, since it will give the fuel every possible opportunity to condense into liquid form and accumulate somehwere instead of making it to the cylinders in vapor form so it can burn. That setup you describe is just about the textbook case of how to select parts that will produce cold-weather driveability problems. But getting the chole working will help.
