What would cause injectors to suddenly get louder???
Last night I floored the car and let it do it's thing. I don't floor it too often. Anyway, I swear right after I did the injectors got WAY louder. Now I can hear them in the car with the windows up and the stereo on! I don't know if it's in my head or not, but the car also seemed to get a fair bit more powerful too. I haven't checked my fuel pressure yet, but I used to turn the screw (AFPR) all over the place and the pressure never changed. I wonder if all of a sudden if something in the regulator did something to permit the fuel pressure to come up to where it's adjusted? Don't the injectors make more noise with more fuel pressure? Anyway, they are 24lb/hr SVO injectors with about 4k on them and the motor. Any insight would be quite helpful. To say the least, I've never had something like this occur before.

That's very strange. Do know that SVO injectors are VERY loud. I can hear em with the hood closed standing next to the car in my buddy's GTA.

My injectors are stock 19 lbs/hr on the 305 and I feel like they are excessively noisy but then again they sat in my shed for about 10 years and are from an '85 model. I do not know for sure but maybe they just get noisier with age/wear.........

Unfortuantely, mine are neither old nor worn. They are brand new.
I guess my main question, is: Are injectors louder with higher fuel pressure?
