what are you vortec guys using??

i just want to know what type of setup people are using to make power w/ vortec heads...probably the edelbrock intake right? what about cam? i have the comp Xtreme 262 in my motor right now (218/224 .460/.469 i think...) and edelbrock 600cfm. how does this stuff match up?

I have the same setup as you nearly, I think with the 262 you can get away with higher ratio rocker arms with the stock springs too, im not possitive though.

Good luck, let us know your results

I also have the same setup with the RPM manifold and the 226/230 grind, not bad at all. I ran out of fuel on the top end and have the stock converter so I think 12's are definately in the future
