Question about TPIS ZZX cam lobe.
I was degreeing in my cam today and noticed that there is only .358 lift on the lobe. According to the cam card it's .372. Am I measuring wrong? I have the lifter in the bore and the dial indicator with a magnetic base sitting on the deck surface. The indicators plunger is on the lifter as it's supposed to be. The plunger is also at the right angle just as it was a pushrod. The valve lift should be .558 and it will be .537 like this.
I rotate the crankshaft until the cam lobe pushes the lifter all the way up to max. travel then back down. All I get is .358. This is a custom ground TPIS ZZX cam that is billet steel and on a small base circle. Wasn't a cheap cam. What gives?

Well it sounds like you're measuring it right. The lobe lift is what it is, it's not something you can change. I believe I'd give TPIS a call if I was you.

Update:
I went out to the garage today and studied the situation. The dial indicator plunger was getting stuck at one spot causing my readings to be off. This is a weight lifted off my shoulders. Thanks again for the replies.
