car won't start after head swap

So I just put on vortec heads and intake on my car. Everything went smoothly until we tried to fire up the car to set the valves. We did it by the manual first but then we were going to start it adjust them perfectly that way. But the car wouldn't start. Then we unplugged a plug wire and it fired right up on 7 cylinders. It sounds like its running fine like that??? And we plug the wire in and it won't start. We plugged the wire in while the car was running and it didn't seem effect it. So I don't knwo what the problem is. We played with the timng and everything. I've been playing with it all day. Anyone have any idea's?

Thats what I thought, but it will fire with any plug undone. So its not just one cylinder. But I'm gonna try the valves again tomorrow I guess and see what happens.
