Car: 82 & 91 Firebird
Engine: 400 & 355
Transmission: TH350 & 700
Axle/Gears: 4:11 & 2.72
Gas tank swap
Can anyone tell me if all thirdgen gas tanks are the same, and if they are, are the fuel pickups interchange able between carb'd cars and FI cars. ( I guess what i'm asking is can I buy a pickup/fuel sending unit for a carbed car and have it mount in my FI tank.)

Engine: 403 LSx (Pending) / 355 Tuned Port
Transmission: T56 Magnum (Pending) / T5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 / ?
The tanks in fuel injected cars have an extra baffle to help keep the fuel pump from starving. When I replaced the tank in my firebird, the replacement didn't have the baffle, and any time I was under 1/4 tank, the fuel pump would starve around corners and the car would sputter. I'm lucky I never wasted the pump.
