Oil leak in the 2.8

my car currently has an oil leak in the engine. i think its leaking directly onto the exhaust, but im not sure. Its not leaking very much, but its enough for the car to smoke and smell. it started when i uhh.. lost control on a rainy night and drove over a 3 inch divider next to a parking lot. (oops) im not sure what it could be, any help?

Mikey,

Clean the engine thoroughly. Pay particular attention to the front cover area, sides of the block near the oil pan flange, and rear main seal area. Inspect the engine a few days after cleaning and your leak location should be pretty evident.

In the interim, watch the oil level closely.
