I am following the tech article from the board for adjusting idle and IAC but I am having a problem. The car will not stay running after I have disconnected the IAC. I have followed steps to that point but the car will not run or idle.
Need help, what is wrong??????

I had that same problem and i found my timing was severely retarded. Before I knew the timing was the culprit, I just used a stick to keep the gas pedal slightly depressed so the engine would idle while I adjusted the IAC. Once I set the base timing to 8*, the engine idled fine on its own with the IAC motor disconnected at OPERATING TEMPERATURE. You need to get the motor upto operating temp before making this adjustment. Go drive around for 5-10 mins and then set the IAC and TPS. Should work.
Alternative scenario - check whether your IAC motor works in the first place. My car had this problem, and the previous owner had screwed up IAC adjustement so far as to set an SES light. It wouldn't idle when could and idle at 1500rpm when hot. A simple change of the IAC motor and readjusted minimum air and TPS brought everything back to spec.
