last gas guage question

ok my sender has been bad for quite some time now being pinned past full always but recently i caught it moving!! when i'm near empty...(gone 150 miles or more)... and make a right turn... teh needle goes twards the empty position!! is this good? meaning can i spare the sender and pray that its just an open somewhere??

or do i still have to replace the damn thing? and pay 300 or so bucks and drop the tank

thanx for any help guys

Have you measured the resistance of the tank sending unit at the tank connector?

no what kind of ohm readings should I be looking for the usuall 0 empty and 90 full?
