What's the best road to take?

Ok, I'm trying to plan out what to do with the car engine wise and I'm unsure as to what would be best.

What I would like is a car for 99.9% street use that puts out about 300-350hp and 350-400TQ (if that's not to much for the street :-))

I was thinking of either a supercharged 305TPI or a 350TPI or 383TPI. I'm not worried about reving high so I'm fine with the "WALL" of 4500-5000RPM the TPI will create.

I figure the 305 supercharged is going to cost at least $3000 more then any of the other choices which is basicly the only reason I'm considering the others so I guess if anyone can give me some ups/downs of these combos so I can weigh them out that would be great. Also if it makes a difference I was thinking of swapping in a 6-speed later on.

Thanks,
Mark

I second the ZZ4 Crate engine.

Well I would consider a crate engine but I already have access to a 305, 350, and even a 400 so it's really just a matter of rebuilding one for what I want.

then take the 350, and build it to pretty much the same specs as the zz4, and spend the same amount of money, and come out with the same results......but without a warranty
