SLP headers and fan turn on switch.

After installing my new 350 with SLP 1-5/8" headers, I've noticed that I cant hook up the connector to the fan turn on switch in the passenger side head. The connector will constantly be in contact with the header tube, which can't be good. Has anyone had this problem and if so, what did you do? I'm thinking about just running the fan as soon as the ignition turns on by grounding the fan turn on relay. Is there another option?

BTW: The SLP headers were a breeze to install. They dropped in in less than 30 seconds each side. Of course this is with no harness, brackets, or other crap in the way. The y-pipe went on almost as easy. I installed it by myself in about 1 hour. It fits very well. Plenty of clearance at every possible contact point.

Anyway, about that fan switch connector......
