Have any Canadians used cruzinperformance
I was wondering if anybody on this board from Canada has sent their injectors to cruzing performance to be cleaned. I am asking because I would like to know what charges you had to pay the idiots in customs to get the injectors back into Canada. I have purchased a few things for my camaro in the U.S. and always get screwed by customs. One time I returned an item to be exchanged for the correct part, I had already paid the taxes and custom charges on my original purchase, when the replace parts arrived at my door, I had to pay the taxes again and the custom charges.

What a pain in the *** shipping across the border. I sent my injectors to Cruzin to be cleaned. When he sent them back he sent them as used auto parts. If I remember correctly I had him send them back through the mail to avoid UPS brokerage fees. I think I just paid a little bit of tax (like $20 or so) but don't quote me. Hope this helps!

The UPS brokerage fees are ridiculous, I purchased an Air Foil from SLP earlier in the year. Their fees were more than what I paid for the air foil. I would have been better off buying the thing in Canada. Live and learn.

I hear you on the brokerage fee, and they ALL seem to be high. There is little or no duty on parts from the US anymore and GST is only 7% (plus possibly provincial taxes), but when you add the brokerage fee (plus GST on that), it almost doubles the price of any smaller dollar item.
Frankly, I think it is cheaper to find a good "speed shop" and have them order the parts for you. They usually have deals on their Custom Brokers due to most parts come up from the U.S. The only time I will order anything from the U.S. directly is when I cannot find anyone to order it for me in Canada, or they want over double the price (in US$).
The other thing to consider is ordering the parts from another part of Canada. Usually the shipping cost is quite reasonable then and you avoid paying Provincial Sales Tax if the part is shipped out of another province. However, be aware that you MAY get charged your provincial sales tax by the company anyways, if they are registered to sell in that province. And if you aren't, you may STILL be liable to pay PST to your provincial government regardless.
But all of that is still cheaper than the outrageous price charged by some Custom Brokers... bottom line... they don't cater to the individual consumer.

Any of you guys ever thought about getting a U.S. post office box? My father in law has one, he makes a day of it. Goes to the U.S. does a little shopping and picks up his mail. He says its never a problem getting back through customs. I guess it works as long as the parts arn't too big. I think he said he pays $35.00 U.S. a year (Could be wrong on this). Might be somethig to try if you want to buy stuff from the states and don't live too far away from the border. Go SENS GO!!!

God I hate that brokerage fee!!! It's worse when you have to order everything that deals with high performance because it takes months to get anything around here.
