Ok I know this isn't a board for silverado trucks, but you guys are really knowladgable on chevy 305-350's so I thought i would ask my questions here, please forgive me as I am new to chevy motors.

I have a 94 silverado with a 350 TBI and a 60le tranmission

What I want to do is improve the power I know it has some serious HP's just r4eady to be let out.

As for mods it currently has a 3" exhaust and a high flow cat, i didn't install these.

So here goes my question, without going to hard or deep into mods, and with a minimal budget what would you all suggest to add some quick bolt on HP to my 350.

1. The ultimate TBI mods do these improve HP, torque etc. I understand the concept, but get totally lost after a few paragraphs. Could some one link me to a good site with pictures, and detailed instructions?

2. Intake, I plan on fabbing up my opwn intake as I know the stock one is pretty restrictive, does anyone know a good site again with pictures and instructions to fab up my own cheaply? I would also lie to locate the intake up towards the front so I can get cold air, and a bit of passive ram action.

3. Proms, I hear a lot of talk about these unfortunetaly again I get lost after a few pargraphs, is there any chip I can just plug in that will give me more performance over stock, or is there a place I can buy a programmer with instructions and cables ready to go? I don't really feel like fabbing up my opwn connections although I do havce a laptop to interface with it.

4. TBI spacers, the ones that lift the TBI up off the manifold by 1/2" or so, are these worth the cost and installation, if so what brands would you recommend.

5. Power pulleys, are they worth the gains, and the drawbacks, and does anyone have a brand to recommend?

6. Any smog pump/emmision stuff that i can remove to help HP, I do not have smog tests here where i live.

7. Basically looking for some simple mods to squeeze a little more HP out of a pretty much stock 350.

8. The electronic shift kits, the ones that plug into the stock harness, and have three shift settings. Is it worth it?

Any and all suggestions/comments would be appreciated, I chose this forum because you guys seem pretty bright, and don;t flame people for being beginners It also look liek you guys have done just about every mod to your rigs availible

thanks for the link, anyone know anyone who does these TBI mods at a decent price? also any idea on net gains? looking to improve tow power, an of course show power with the boat and the camper off
