hood clearance

I was wondering if anyone knows if an Edelbrock Performer manifold mated to the stock QJet carb or their Performer carb will clear the hood on my 1984 Firebird (305 V8, 4 barrel) while using the stock air cleaner? I'm thinking about this combo and wanted to tap the knowlege of the group here at thirdgen. Hope I'm not on the wrong board for this topic. Thanks for any insights.

not sure if there's a difference but on my 85z28 i was able to shove a performer manifold a holley 670 s/a with a 1 inch spacer and a 14x3 drop base air filter under the stock hood.

there is absolutly no more clearence after that but so far so good.

I had a performer wiht the stock q-jet and air cleaner on my last 85 T/A and had no clearance problems.
