fuel pump probs ??

Car is all of a sudden starting real real hard. I have to turn it over for 20-30 seconds before it starts, and then it immediately dies. If i keep trying for a few minutes it will start....sometimes. It's very tempermental. It acts like it did when I ran out of gas. It would start and run for a second or two until it burns what little bit of gas is left in the fuel lines, then it dies. I have a full tank of 93. I'm wondering if the fuel pump is going bad?? When it does run, it acts like it's not getting enough fuel. It kinda sputters and falls on it's face much like a car does right before it runs out of gas.

Is there a way to test the fuel pump's output without pulling it out of the tank?

Hey Nasty (er wait, that didn't sound right...)

I'm having a similar problem in my GTA (L98) right now, however my car turns right away. Here's the link to my problem:

Does this sound anything like what you're getting? Let me know.
