Boy am I stupid.....

So I just changed my oil pan cause it rusted like a mother. I installed the new gaskets, and with the gasket came that little plastic O-ring. I put that one on, and I didnt even see the one that was already attatched to the oil pan, but was painted over The oil pan is leaking again, and I think thats the problem. Is it possible to take the oil pan valve cap off, and put my finger over the hole so oil doesnt rush out like crazy, and take that extra O-ring off? or do I have to drain the oil ALL over again, and take the O-ring off, and put whole new oil in ALL over again?

if its leaking that bad you might as well just drain and refill it with new oil..

2 seals wouldn't hurt, as long as they were both good to start with. catch the oil and put it back in. are you sure you got the gasket on right?

Ok, me and my dad put the car on jackstands and took a look under the car. The good news is that there is no oil leaking around the bolts that hold on the oil pan, but the bad news is that I still dont know where it is leaking from, and on top of that I am also leaking transmission fluid. Oye Vay.
