How do I get my codes on '86 IROC

I just tried to get the codes on my car by
using the method descibed in the FAC but the
light just stays on with the key in the on
position. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...Hook

Hook,

Check this link for the method:

Gm Error Codes.pdf.

You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the file.
