a couple easy questions for you guys

this last summer i replaced the 305 in my camaro with a 350. i was told by some of the folks here to replace to stock prom for something aftermarket. well the computer fried for some reason after the engine was installed so i had it replaced. i was reccomened by the auto tech to use to stock prom in my new (rebuilt) ecm. its in there now. my question is, i bought a jet chip originally and it called for a 160 thermo. should i take that out and put a 190 in there cuz its not a aftermarket chip any more?

question 2. since i did replace the engine, i want to keep this thing running perfect. so im gonna do all the preventive matienence. my question is, should i use synthetic oil for 3000-4000 mile oil changes? and should i be using 92 octane over 87? i read the TECH article about the oxygen levels in the gas, does that really matter. my sig has the mods. please help me make my decesion.

thanks

daniel

TES headers, flowmaster cat back, performer manifold, TCI converter, jet chip, kn with dual snorkel cleaner. and she still passed the sniffer!

You can use the 160º thermostat with the stock PROM with no problems.

Synthetic oil is better, in my opinion. But it will cost more.

Which gas you should use depends on your compression ratio.

If I remember, the Goodwrench 350 was pretty low compression, like low 9's for durability and warranty purposes.
