PCV junk....
Can i remove the PCV junk without making my computer throw codes? I'm swapping engines and all the solid plastic lines that run to the valve onn the intake are broken and cracked and i don't where to get new ones. So anyway i want to just ditch the whole works and i want to know if it would work.

Z,
You can eliminate the entire PCV system if you want. The ECM won't care until the distributor stops turning from engine seizure caused by the lack of lubrication.
The PCV helps keep fuel contaminants, acids, and water vapor from collecting in the oil sump. Not venting the crankcase will cause the oil to turn into a oil/water/acid emulsification. This Jello will not lubricate well, and will eventually lead to engine destruction.
Of course, you could just change oil and filter every week (you'd have to change the filter because the larger water molecules will saturate the filter paper and cause the filter to go into full bypass). And you'd still get moisture and acid formation, but draining it every week should eliminate the really high levels that cause serious damage.
Then again, you could just replace the hard plastic tubing that has failed, or use rubber fuel/vapor hose instead of the plastic. That would probably be the easiest and best solution.
