it's a 84 TA with 3:73 posi running a 80 Z-28 350 with headman headers, a beefy cam what size i don't know, straight through exhaust via glass packs, no smog control that i know of, and a soon ot be purchased elderbrock 650 carb with intake. I just bought her and i'm wondering what she can do when i get the tranny fixed. With the tranny slipping like crazy it'll snap your head back a good one so i can't wait till i get a fresh tranny to destroy. 700R4

If it's the original 80 model 350, it was good for about 180 HP as it came. The headers should be giving you about 20 more HP but the glasspacks are costing you at least half of that. A "big cam" is a complete mismatch for the rest of the motor, as it came (no compression like 8.5:1 tops, pitiful intake, heads that don't flow, etc.) so who knows.

I'll give it 200 if it runs like brand new, less if it has any tuning issues.

How do you figure that glasspacks are costing him hp? I dropped 5 tenths when I put my headers and glasspacks in, I would say you have little over 200 hp , and your probably running high 14's in the Quarter, and hes right the performer intake sucks, ditch it and the carb get a holley 650 and a Performer RPm intake if you want to get an aftermarket hood you could run an RPM or performer air gap intake , I Hear those are really good intakes. You should be able to drop a couple tenths with those mods , good luck.
