I'am installing some new Vortec heads on my 84 Z-28 it is a 350ci.motor. I have everything that I need to do the job except I need to know the torque specs. for the heads and intake. I don't know if they are the same as regular SBC torque specs. With the weird bolt set-up on the intake I thought they may be different. I would appreciate some info. NORT

 

if you cant get answers, then i'd go to a parts store that will let you look through a book. find one w/ vortec trucks and your answer will be there

350, Comp 262, Edelbrock Performer intake 600 cfm carb and exhaust, headers

 

Stock chevy cast heads are around 65-70ft/lbs. The aluminum intakes are around 25ft/lbs

 

vortec intake specs are 11ft lbs, they have a special gasket that you can *** up if you overtighten it, heads are standard I believe
