Rear end swap question

Alright the camaro is going to be stored next month and thats when im going to do all my mods on it, one of the first will be the rear end. OK, for the fourth gen swap, i read the tech article and i see it sticks out 2" each side wider. Is there any way to counteract this by even a inch or so? And to those who have done it does it look good or does it look out of place and ghetto looking? Or should I look for an old IROC rear end, if mem servs they had disc brakes and stock posi with some good gearing.
Any comments?

i think with the 4th gen rear if you use 4th gen wheels they fit and look the same, don't stick out too far.

A 4th gen rear will use 4th gen rims due to their off-set being less then the 3rd gen rims.

You would need spacers if you were going to put 4th gen rims onto your stock 3rdgen rear...

Swapping a rear is somewhat easy. Took me about 4 hours to do.
