Upgrading to Electrical fan.

I am getting a single electric fan friday, i need to know some basics about going from manula fan to electric. Should i mount it infront of the radiator, or behind. Just things that would make it easier and better. I just think that manul fan is holding that 305 back a lil bit. But any info would be appreciated.

I believe that electric fans are more efficient mounted behind the rad. in the "sucker" mode as opposed to in front in the "pusher" mode. And yes you should pick up a little power or at least increased throttle response.
