Crate Motor HP
I had a 350 GM crate engine put in my car a couple of years back and I want to know the HP and Torque ratings for it. I don't have the numbers off hand, but I know it is a 350 (not the 350HO or ZZ motors) with 4 bolt mains. One site I saw it was rated at 200 HP and another at 250 HP. Thank you

i believe you have the gm genaric replacement engine, it was made for all cars and trucks. sort of a 1 size fits all. i believe they make at least 250 hp. there was a story in a hot rod mag not too long ago about this, but i don't remember which one.

It was the general replacement but I wasn't sure about the HP. You wouldn't happen to know the torque rating? Also how strong is the bottom end?

these beauties make 239hp at 4,100 rpm and 324 lb-ft of torque at 3,700 rpm bone stock...according to CHP. Scoggin Dickey (SDPC2000) says its at 249hp. check the SDPC 2000 web site for details. see ad above!!
