Radiator hose?

coming home from work yesterday, I blew an upper radiator hose. No big deal right? just go to the local parts store and swap it out. I'm about to have a freaking annurism! Neither hose fits!I've been to 2 different parts stores. Both hoses are close, but not quite. Is my water neck wrong? It's an 89 T/A 305 TBI.

Here is a pic with no hose:

Here is a pic with my old hose:

Here is a pic with the 71028:

Here is a pic with the 71203:

Thanks,
Wayne

take a knife and shorten the radiator side end... just set it next to your old hose, and cut the ends off till it looks the exact same... no big deal.

I can't. The Radiator side isn't the problem. I need to shorten that side anyway, but on one hose there's no offset to the water neck and on the other one, there's an extra offset in the middle that make's it go way over top of my alternator, and the water neck end is so long it bends in half. By the way, the water neck is bigger than the radiator.

oooooh.... i wasnt looking at that part

i dunno... i hate those parts stores tho... i got a defective starter and a shifter cable that was 1/4 inch too short to fit from them

i suggest trying the chevy dealer... may cost more, but you can be sure itll fit...

Mine didnt fit quiet right either. Either one of those will techincally work tho. Just doesnt look or fit perfect. Mine looks like the 71028.

it looks like if I use that one, it might rub on my alternator when I close my hood. THat wouldn't be good. Plus it folds when I put it on.

Take your old hose to the parts store and ask to see one for an 85-92 Camaro/Firebird 305/350 TPI, see how it matches up.

that picture really doesn't do the 71028 justice, it comes over top my alternator about 6"
