Fuel Pump. Which exact one?
Fuel Pump. Which exact one?
hi. i have a 89 L98. the fuel pump that the people left in my car before i bought it was from the original engine a 86 carbed 305. 86 is the year of my car. so i was driving it and of course after 8 months of me having it. it stops pumping. my cousin is going to pay for everything we do to my car and he wants to make it crazy. which he has done to all of his cars. so i need to know exactly what fuel pump i should get whats the best one and the one that will be able to supply the right amount of fuel to my growing in horse power car.. we are getting a fuel cell when we buy the fuel pump. and i want to get an electric fuel pump. so if anyone can give me some ideas. or exactly which one i should get i would be very happy. thanks in advance.

ok are you saying that you have an '89 L98 in your car right now? because if you are, you need an electric fuel pump to run it properly. TPI engines run with around 38-42PSI fuel pressure at idle. You can use one in tank, or one in the fuel lines. Don't forget to pick up an adjustable fuel pressure regulator as well, because it will help you in the long run.
