I noticed that when my car is running, there is a slight hissing sound coming from the black, cylindrical canister located on the left side of the radiator (looking from the driver's point of view) and right next to the left fender. I really don't know what that thing is and does. Any ideas??

p.s., I know for sure that its not the radiator.

Charcol canister. Its emission garbage. If its hissing, no biggie, the all do. If its loud, find it my running your finger across it all. If its a hole, put some duct tape on it, if its a hose, change it. Later..
