just recently my car seems to choke up when i come around a corner hard. the other day it happened bad, i came out of a corner and got on it and the motor choked and the thing started shuddering. I know theres a problem wiht hard cornering w/ a low tank of gas but ive had this happen at a half tank lately...and ive experienced the low tank thing and its not really similar to what happens lately. i changed the fuel filter today just cause i was bored at work and i figured what the hell it cant hurt but otherwise i dont know where to start.....any suggestions?

my 88 TA does that. i havenot gotten a chance to diagnose, but i believe the tourque converter isnot unlocking. now try this when your about to make the turn move the shifter from d-n and back to d real quick. if it doesnot do it then look under the trans, unplug the plug on the drivers side above the transmission oil pan (will not alow the TQC to lock up. and see if it does it. only think i can think of

now that you mention that...i was on a 60 mile round trip w/ a good deal of highway driving...and for some reason it didnt seem like it would shift into OD on the highway...

Thee exact thing happened to my car, it turned out to be that the transmission wasn't downshifthing in time. I had my friend fix it and now it works great.
