Question??

If my belt starting to slip, what would I notice??

First, when my car is at idle, and the heater is on, it blows cold air. When I am around 1500 to 2000 rpm, the heater will blow hot air??
Second, when I drive and keep the car at a constant speed, I notice a slight jerking sensation (well, I can feel it). When I accelerate, its a little worse, the sensation gets a little stronger. Plus it just doesnt seem to pull as hard as it should. I have a TBI 305, and I personally think it should be a bit faster, I can barely light the tires up when I mash on the gas in 1st gear. (Maybe my TB needs a rebuild?????)

I was just curious if any of these problems could be related to a belt slippig??

sounds like a vacuum leak. The heater controls are vacuum operated and will not work right with inadequate vacuum. There is a $3 check valve on the firewall that goes bad sometimes. Does the heater go cold when you are driveing up a long hill or at WOT?

I havent noticed on a hill, Ill check next time. What is "WOT" I have seen the lingo used in other post, but couldn't figure out what it meant.
Do you have a diagram or know where I can get one for the vacuum system in my car. I would like to replace all the lines, and check all the components for leaks and failures.

WOT means wide open throttle.
