Popping Afterburn

Hello out there!
I have to tell everybody that I had a hot start problem and it indeed was the fuel injectors. It was hard to sart when warm and when it did start it had a heavy smell of raw fuel. Five of the injectors were leaking( I did the papper trick to test) . thanks for the help from everybodys old posts...

I do have a new ? is it normal to get any popping Or afterburn when freereving a hot engine.. I had just taken it out for a test drive after the injector swap and She ran great and no popping on hard aceleration or deceleration. But when I just gave it a good shot of gas in park as it was idling down I got one or two pops. Is this normal or anything to be alarmed about. I was very careful with the vacum lines and the injectors seating so I don't think that it's a vacum leak. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance

Kristian

exhaust leaks around the exhaust manifolds can do that.

Exhaust poping out of the tail pipe is a dead give away for an exhaust valve problem, drop the y pipe to determine which bank the problem resides in. This will also tell you if you have an exhaust restriction that may be causing this problem.
