Guys runing 12's with a carb..
Hey guys I am wondering if you could post your setup on a 350 to be running 12's with a carb and no nitrous of charger. Also I only really want people who have ran a 12 so I can get a serious answer. Also I am looking to build a street car that will mak the most usable power on the street and run aroudn a 12.8.. thanks guys

here ya go:
10:1 355, trickflow 195cc heads, comp xe274 cam, performer rpm air gap intake, speed demon 750 carb.
I run a t-56 with a 4.10 gear and drag radials. Right now its only going 12.90's, i'm still tuning it, and the traction aint the greatest

I am postive a engine with the following should run low 12's or 11's.
350 4 bolt main
afr 195 heads
je pistons
11:1 compresion
roller cam with around 240 duration and 290 advertised with around .600 or .700 lift
roller rockers
vic jr intake
holley hp 850 carb.
turbo 400 with trans brake/3500 tci stall converter
4.10 gears
and some nice tires to get traction on the back. If you put that all together, you are good for 92-94 octane and some serious hp numbers people could only dream of.
