If so is it as quick of a ratio as the stock power steering setup for an IROC?
Do you have a part number for the steering box?

i really dought that a truck steering box would have less turns lock to lock than an iroc. but you could always find one and turn the wheel and see how many turns is takes.

It's a question that someone may have an answer to.
Thanks for the opinion I didn't ask for, though.

this is a quote from someone on another board that answers your question....
"Yes - It is a lot more turns. Internally the S10 box is 7 turns lock to lock. However, you hit the bump-stops before that. It's approximately 5 turns lock to lock. My Subaru feels like a performance upgrade compared to the IROC - lol.
I don't advise anyone to do this 'mod' unless they either have to or unless your car is mostly a straight-line car. I intend to eventually replace this temporary fix with a power rack and pinion setup having the pump installed on the passenger's side."

Thats what I needed to know, it looks like I'm going to have to spend the 600 for the manual steering setup I need. Thanks for the info.
