I finally got my IROC back after engine rebuild about a month ago, Today after about an hour and a half of constant driving the engine stalled at the stop light. Haven't really driven for an extended period of time til now, only to work and back about 15-20 nimutes each way. Well it doesn't die right away but the RPM drops to 750 hits bottom bounces back to 1000-1400 then dies. Does it in Neutral and Drive. I can keep it going witht he accelerator. but won't idle alone. BUT it idles fine after start up. ?????????? Car ran perfect til today. WHAT IS YOUR FIRST THOUGHT

 

Anyone have any ideas. Jus went out and let it idle for a while and it didn't die. Is it air, fuel, no engine light drives fine jsut doesn't idle after being driven for a while.( Drive) load or not,(neutral or in drive while stopped)

 

Might want to check your timing... You said it was a rebuilt motor? Just might need to re-time it after it's broke in.
