hey everyone... right now exactly i'm in the process of removing my old intake and TBI and puttin on edelbrok intake and carb...
what type of lock tight should i use on my bolts for the carb.... also what should those bolts be torqued too ??? any other little things you guys can help me with would be great... if you think i might be missin some little thing that people usually overlook... lemme know... thx

ok I got a TBI and puttin on an edelbrock 600cfm electric choke.... how am i going to hook up the choke.... I'm not sure how to go about it... thx again

 

i wouldn't use loctite on any of the bolts. i would use liquid teflon on the intake bolts. i never use a torque wrench on intakes or carbs. your manual ought to have the specs if you feel you need to use a torque wrench. the choke wire should go to a fused switched hot wire. do you know you need to change to a non ecm controlled hei distributor too? are you also doing that?

 

k i got my new intake on ... carburator on and hei distributor i nand wow what a job its been so many minor details going wrong... my braket for the throttle and kick down doesn't reach and so we had to rig it up so now no cruise control.... anyone know where they have some custom made brakets that will work on there... and welll got the car fired up its a little rough yet but should doo... also anyidea on air cleaner... got very little clearance afraid i'll hafta go to a cowl induction hood with 3 inch lift but not sure...
