1992 FireHawk

Well...the shop that my car is sitting at has one sitting there with a problem...

4200 miles ...will fire right up, but if you shut down and try to restart...gets fuel and spark...but no start until she cools off. Any ideas?

I'd say ignition module, or starter is getting heat soaked....

hold on....you brought YOUR car to a shop that can't even figure out the "hot start" problem??? I say print out the tech article we've got here, give it to them, and get your car the hell out of there

Well..they fixed mine ;-) Traced it back to a bad coolant temp sensor ...for some reason, wasn't letting the car go into closed loop.

On the Firehawk...the entire distributor was rebuilt...so a bad module was on the "less likely" list. Will find out tomorrow if it was the cause.

If they didn't use an AC Delco ignition module the module would be the FIRST thing on my list of suspect items.

Personally I'd rather have the Firehawk. They just plain out bad, and not a fortune for parts like that 328.

But thats a sweet ride as well!

Yeah...and it's a nice pickup line..."Hey baby...wanna go for a ride in my car?" "What kinda car is it?" "Oh...ya know...a Ferrari"

She doesn't know that it's by far the least expensive model produced
