carb adjustment

Sorry posted in the wrong section!

I have a lot of smoke comin out the tail pipes, i know my carb is running rich so would that cause the bad smoke.? Also are Rochesters adjustable? Do i need to get the timing adjusted as well?

oh ya it stalled out on me a few times today, the only way i could get it to start is puttin a screwdriver in the chokeplate...it was runnin and then it just got really lopey and then died...wuts up with that?

Yes.

Yes.

Possibly.

Your choke is not opening when the engine warms. That will be part of the carburetior adjustment/repair.

I've answered you questions, but could probably answer better if I knew what year/model/engine you have.
