Not getting enough fuel
I just suddenly started having this problem. I have replaced all the fuel lines and put in another new fuel pump and strainer. What it looks like is the fuel pump is drawing air into the lines from somewhere. All the steel lines under the car look good and everything under the hood is new. There is no air leaking into the strainer either. The carb is not able to gain enough fuel preasure, so it starts missing/popping at around 2 to 3000 until the fuel catches up. It idles fine. So, I changed to an electric pump. Still not able to grab enough fuel. The tank is full, the carb is in perfect condition. Holley 600. The fuel gauge works. The distributor is in perfect condition. Accel performance. The vaccum advance is correct. There are no vaccum leaks either. Been running it for a year perfectly. The timing is correct and the engine is only a year old and runs low 13's consistently on street tires. Anyone have this problem before? I am not happy with my cars recent poor performance at all.

I have another post: "Fuel runs dry in the lines with tank full. Help me!!!" that explains the problem better. I use a fuel strainer, not a filter and it is new. Can't really get clogged. It's more like air is leaking into the lines back by the tank or something. Thanks though.
