Firebird headlight ?
I have a ? about aligning the headlights....my friend got into a fender bender with her 84 firebird....we replaced the bracket the holds the headlight in place....now the dilema is that the light lines up with the hood and not the fender....how can we adjust/align the headlight to be even with the fender?

Fly,
If the lamp door is aligned with the hood, it should be aligned with the fender. If not, the problem is most likely with the fit of the hood and/or fender instead of the lamp door. Whether you are talking about vertical or lateral alignment, the situation is the same. Another guide might be the fit relative to the front fascia.

also...there are four bolts bolting these lights onto the chassis. two of them being on top in the engine compartment above the lamp door, and the other two being under the car. you have to take off the airdamn to get to these 2 bolts. these bolts are adjustable for aligning the lights to the lines of the body. all you have to do is loosen the bolts and you will be able to move the light around in place to your specific area of allignment. this should help get the light where it needs to be. remember, these adjustments move the light assembly up or down, and, right and left, or a mixture of both. so if the light seems it doesnt shut for enough so it meets with the fender, then the bottom bolts are your ticket. if the light scrapes the hood or fender, then the top bolts are your ticket. if the light scrapes the front fascia, then a combination of front and top bolts should get you going. hope this helps bro.
