Engine code 41???

Ok guys.... I think I asked this a few months ago but it was right before I went to sea for 3 months so I don't remember.

I've got an 84 Z28.. L69 5 spd....
I'm getting error code 41..
My autox-ray calls it CAM sensor failure...
To the best of my knowledge I don't have a cam sensor...
What can this be??
The light comes on and stays on...
Engine idles fine, tach seems normal.. The only gauge I have out of whack is the Oil pressure gauge.. Pegged high all the time.

I just replaced the EST module due to a code 42 I had before.... I unplugged the battery and this is the only code I'm getting now.

Thanx,
Randy

CALPAK fault. This code generally indicates a fault or failure within the CALPAK, which is the portion of the MEMCAL that contains the detailed information about the power train of the vehicle. This could also be caused by faulty CALPAK connections to the ECM, or by an ECM failure.

So how do I go about troubleshooting this?
Or do I just replace the calpak or ECM chip?

Ok. I looked at my chilton's again and realized I missed a line in the error code section...
It says for my engine, L69, error code 41 is:
1 X reference. Is this what you mean Ron?
I have no clue what that reference is...

I think I got some good info from Macgyver. He thinks it's the ground to the ECM that's the problem.
Thanx for your help though.

Well it wasn't the ECM ground. I'm still stumped on this one. Car seems to run fine, just the SES light on with code 41.

Sorry, forgot to update the post. hehhee
Found the problem. The EST connector to the dist. looked connected but wasn't. That was all it was. Thanx for all your help.
