Fuel starvation ?

Allright guys, Check this out.
Ive got a LG4 with 147k Miles on it, and its in essentially stock Config.

I have Put 1000 Miles on the car Since i got it, and Just recently ( the last few days ) I started experianceing a momentary extreme loss of power On launch. After that initial Bog, it Picks up fine and takes off with its Normal Gusto. The car runs smooth even while dying, so it really feels like a fuel starvation problem. It also only does this about 50% of the time

My first thought was i had put the Fuel filter In backasswards, but I checked that and its OKay. Im tending to Think that its the fuel pump, and I will replace that htis weekend, But If that dosent fix it, Im sorta t a loss.

Im getting Check Engine Light Occasionally at idle and the car starts to Shake a Little, but it goes away when I get back On it.

Other wise, the car is Fine. Runs strong as It ever should, Really wellt aken care of By the previous Owner.

Anyone Got any ideas as to why it Does this ?
Its both when the car is warm and Cold, But it onyl started the last 3 days, I havent changed anything on the car Int aht time.

Any help is appriciated

700R4 btw, but its not getting stuck in second I tried that.

Bort,

Since you are getting a MIL lamp, scan the ECM for DTCs and use the results to help diagnose your problems. If you're actually starving for fuel, the trouble codes should indicate that.

It's also possible you have weak ignition, but again, the code scan will probably shed some light on that.
