Is this true???

I was just told all rocker arms on chevys 87+ are self aligning? (roller motors)

Is this true? Because Im getting vortec heads and I will have to have self aligning...or does my 1993 caprice engine already have self aligning rocker arms?

Small block automotive engines had self-aligning rockers beginning in the 1987 model year. The trucks may or may not have had them then or up to six years later.

So your question about whether "chevys 87+" would have to be answered "False".

However, it is true that all SBCs whether self aligning or not used genuine stamped rubber rockers, and if you intend to use them with any kind of performance valve spring you may be disappointed. I'd plan on changing them either way.
