Fuel pump bad? OR battery?

Can a weak Battery cause the same symptoms as a bad fuel pump. I posted a thread sometime ago because my fuel pump didnt pump, but sounded just fine. I made the pumping sound. I noticed the other day that this all started when my battery became weak. I have been jump starting the car, and thats when it gave me fuel pump issues. The jumper wires are crappy too. It takes about 8min for the other car to charge my battery up so it can crank. COULD IT BE THE BATTERY? Could the started be using too much power from the weak battery, and not leaving any for the pump?

Low voltage to the fuel pump will cause low fuel pressure. Inadequate fuel pressure will cause hard starting. If you have to jump start the car every time, I think it's time to look into the battery and charging system.
