Block ID numbers?

Block ID numbers?

I just bought a 400 small block, and would like to know what year it is, can anybody help me.

one side has these numbers: 13c162735

T1215CSA

on the other side: GM 3951511 or H.



anybody that can help me out i'd really appreciate it.

So is this out of a truck? if so what kind of truck? My block does have the 2 bolt caps, I wanted it that way so I could put splayed billet caps. I guess this should be a good foundation for a fun motor?

No, it was originally in a B body, Impala for example.

I went to a website that has a listing of numbers, and I cross refrenced the gm 3951511. and it said 1970 to 1973 truck with two bolt main. Which makes sense because the guy I bought it from said he thought it was from a truck.

That's a good site to use for future reference. I junked that small block 400 a while back and stepped up to a new DART little M. Thanks for the info though.
