ok lets see if anyone can help me out.
82 TA CFI inj. Everything is stock except for an XtremeFlow Cat.
This problem occurs about every 3-4 weeks. When I take off from the light, it doesn't have any power. It's like not having a V8. I usually have alot of power. Another thing I notice is when I take off from the light, when I change to 2nd gear, the check engine light will come on 2 seconds after the gear change. When I come to a stop, the light goes off.
I have checked the air cleaner. not very hot (about 100 or so). It seems that when I let it cool off or turn it off and on, it will disappear. But it's growing more often now.
I have not replaced the thermostat. Just got a tune-up and the sensors are fairly new except for the coolant temp sensor which I havent replaced.
