winter problems, Heater going out?

I have had my car for about a year now, I got it last winter, when i first had the car the heater worked great, I turn the heater on now and it sucks, could my heater be going out, do I ned to repair it. I have no idea about anything to go with the heating system.

Engine: 355 mildly modified
Transmission: 700R4 fully modified
twiz, what have you done to the car for modifications? Have you by any chance put in a lower degree stat, like a 160*? If you did that, that might explain why the car isn't heating up. Other than that, I'm kind of lost, but I would check the heater bypass valve, see if maybe that is sticking.
