Remote Hatch Release

My '83 Z28 doesn't have a remote hatch release, and I've purchased the switch and the latch mechanism recently. I was wondering if someone could tell me where the switch was mounted from the factory? I see a few likely spots, but I would like it to be correct. I haven't looked yet, but what are the chances that the wiring is already there with my existing harness?
Thanks in advance.

It goes in the center of the console between the window switches. The wires for it are 2 wires each with its own plug, one orange and one brown IIRC. You'll just have to look to see if they're there. There is also a relay that would be in the wiring harness behind the radio.

I kind of doubt all that stuff is in a non-equipped car. You might have to go tho the boneyard and strip it out of a carcass.
