TPS Setting and Weight of oil VS Lifters VS Valve Lift
If Idle is 650 with a .54 TPS , when I set my idle in my chip to 850-900 RPM should I change my TPS to .72 which is what it would be if I gave it a tad of gas? Also will 15w-50 weight be better in the lifters with a .600 spring? Giving it move pressure to keep it up?
No. And, no.
Setting the target idle RPM is independent of the TPS. If you adjust your TPS voltage higher, you're altering the total range of operation, and will have to alter all the fuel tables @ TPS levels. It's probably easier to set the target idle and allow the ECM to use the stock tables. If the fuel rate has changed because of injectors, change teh injector constant, unless you have programmed to use the tables alone and not the VE calculations.
As for the viscosity of the oil in the lifters, any oil is incompressible once it's locked in the lifter, regardless of the viscosity. Even water is incompressible (well, virtually, anyway). Select your oil based on what your bearings and rings will need, not the lifters. They're not a factor.
